One evening many years ago, our founder, Pastor David J. Meyer was leading a home Bible study. On this occasion, a man approached Pastor Meyer and asked prayer for healing. Although Pastor Meyer noted that the man's arm was bandaged, he didn't know at the time what was wrong. Nevertheless, he prayed for the man and asked for a healing touch from God. The next time Pastor Meyer attended a Bible study at this home, the same man approached him again. "You don't know what you did for me," the man told Pastor Meyer. As it turns out, the man's arm had been gangrenous and was scheduled for amputation. After prayer, the gangrene had entirely disappeared and the man's arm was healed! This is one of the many reasons we firmly believe in the power of prayer at Truth Tabernacle.
